3HL New text!
This week the children of 3HL have been learning their new model text ‘Deadly Drop’. It is a quest story about a boy who is taking some food to his grandfather and has to travel along the Deadly Drop Coastal Path. Can you guess what happens in our story from their actions?
3R English WOW event
To kick off our English topic on Quest stories, we went on a hunt around the classroom to find hidden letters. Then, we unscrambled the letters to decipher the code – ‘Go to the climbing wall’.
Two helpful volunteers ran off to the climbing wall to find an envelope with ‘3R’ written on it! Hidden inside the envelope was a Quest story for us to read.

This week in English we wrote a whole class poem to describe a forest using our expanded noun phrases.

3HL Rock Detectives
Yesterday, 3HL practised their observation skills by looking at different types of rocks. They used clues about the rock’s appearance to decide what type of rock they had!
